Xcel Energy has launched a new performance based rebate system that allows certified contractors in Colorado (REenergizeCO) to perform whole house diagnostics to determine if any building science defects are handicapping the performance of your home. A home energy audit is a great first step in improving your home’s efficiency and lowering your energy bills.

Qualifications for the Standard Audit and Standard Audit with Blower Door include being a Colorado Xcel Energy gas or electric customer. To qualify for the Infrared Audit, you must use Xcel services for natural gas or an electric with space heating.  An individual or family is only eligible for a Xcel Home Energy Audit Rebate once every three years. The rebate program is for homes not larger than a fourplex. Only audits from approved Xcel Energy Home Energy Audit contractors are eligible to earn a rebate.

REenergizeCO will perform the whole house energy audit, prioritize improvements, and calculate how much you qualify for in cash incentives.Once a scope of work is agreed upon, REenergizeCO will implement the energy saving improvements, and help facilitate all rebates from Xcel Energy.
